Featured Card

 I just love the inside greeting for our featured card “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above”…James 1:17

As I started to plan our photo shoots, I was in a state of mind thinking about all the wonderful things we experience during the Christmas season. And, of course, one of them is Jack’s favorite…as with all children and many adults – CANDY!

There was a time when I suggested to one of my older sons, Dan, that he should become a candy maker. Never had I seen or experienced a child with such a strong desire and craving for all types chocolate and candy at such an early age! It was nearly impossible to hide from him all the candy we would traditionally receive during the holidays. There seemed to be a never-ending stream of candy in our home beginning with the week before Halloween and ending sometime in early January. Non-stop candy! So it was naturally easy to include a card with candy with our collection, but the hard part was coming up with the verse.  Eventually, I settled on James 1:17. My thoughts were pure in understanding that all good gifts come from God-our wonderful Father and King who lavishly loves us. And, has not man and woman created the most scrumptious (“tastes like heaven”) candy over the years? Truly, gifts from God! How blessed we are to receive candy gifts from some of the most talented and gifted candy makers created by God!  Merry Christmas!
